Given the excellent cost/performance characteristics of FRP composites, the variety of products is growing at an explosive rate. Glass reinforced composites have proven themselves in the cold of liquid nitrogen, in the heat of South Africa, in the corrosive chemical environment of the Gulf of Mexico, and in the beauty of the latest RV motor homes. FRP can adapt to all of these conditions and more because the combination of plastic resin, glass fibers, and the appropriate process creates a component where the whole is truly greater than the individual parts.
